Docs & FAQ
Exactly how Landpad works, in plain words. These rules are the same ones the payout engine runs.
1. Where the money comes from
Every coin launched on Landpad lives on Meteora, a Solana trading protocol. Every buy and sell of it pays a 1% trading fee, on the bonding curve and after graduation alike. That fee is split like this:
- 80%Pad pool
Paid in SOL to this coin's holders who are in loss.
- 20%Meteora
Meteora's protocol fee (set by Meteora). Landpad and the dev take nothing.
Percentages of the 1% fee every buy and sell pays, before and after graduation. Fixed on-chain for each coin when it is created.
Landpad payouts come only from the pad pool part of trading fees. If a coin has little trading, its pool is small and so are its payouts. When the curve holds 85 SOL, the coin graduates to a Meteora pool; its liquidity is locked for good and the pool's fees keep going to the pad pool.
2. Your pad clock
- Your clock starts when you buy a coin.
- Selling part of your bag does not reset it. Your average entry price stays the same and your token count goes down. Selling everything stops the clock.
- Tokens you receive by transfer (not bought) don't count toward your loss.
- Money already owed to you (pending) is always kept.
3. Who qualifies in a round
Every 15 minutes, for each coin, a wallet qualifies if all of these are true:
- It holds at least 10,000 tokens it bought.
- The current price is below its average entry price (it is in loss).
- It is not excluded: dev wallets, platform wallets, the bonding curve, the graduated pool and wallets funded by the dev.
4. How much each wallet gets
Then the safety caps apply:
- No wallet gets more than 10% of a single round.
- No wallet ever receives more than 50% of its loss on a coin. Landpad softens the fall; it never makes anyone a profit.
- Anything left over stays in the pool for the next round.
- Amounts below 0.001 SOL are kept as your pending balance and sent once they add up to that amount.
- If your wallet is completely empty, Solana requires at least 0.00089088 SOL to arrive at once. Smaller amounts wait in pending until they are large enough.
5. Worked example
A coin's pool holds 1.00SOL. The price is 0.0₆5 SOL per token. Six wallets hold the coin:
| Wallet | Tokens | Avg entry | Loss | Multiplier | Weight | Gets |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Alice Bought 20M tokens 48 hours ago | 20.00M | 0.0₆8 | 0.60 | ×3.00 | 1.800 | 0.10SOL capped at 10% of round |
Bob Bought 5M tokens 6 hours ago, near the top | 5.00M | 0.0₅12 | 0.35 | ×1.25 | 0.438 | 0.0592SOL |
Chen Bought 50M tokens 12 hours ago | 50.00M | 0.0₆6 | 0.50 | ×1.50 | 0.750 | 0.10SOL capped at 10% of round |
Dana Has already received 0.95 SOL on this coin | 40.00M | 0.0₆1 | 2.00 | ×2.00 | 4.000 | 0.05SOL capped at 50% of loss |
Eli Bought 30 minutes ago | 10.00M | 0.0₆9 | 0.40 | ×1.02 | 0.408 | 0.0552SOL |
Fay Bought early, now in profit | 30.00M | 0.0₆4 | 0 | ×3.00 | — | Not in loss: the current price is at or above your average entry. |
Total weight of qualifying wallets: 7.396. Each share is the pool × weight ÷ total weight, then capped. What isn't handed out, 0.6356SOL, carries over to the next round. With only a few wallets in loss, the 10% cap means most of a pool waits for later rounds.
6. Rounds, retries and transparency
- Before each round, Landpad collects the trading fees that have built up on Meteora.
- Every round and every payout is recorded and shown on the Payouts page with its transaction link.
- A round can never be paid twice. If something fails halfway, the next run finishes what's missing.
- Payouts can be paused (for all coins or for one coin) if something looks wrong. Hard limits stop payouts automatically if amounts look unusual.
- During a dry run, rounds are calculated but no SOL moves. The site then says "would pay" instead of "paid".
FAQ
Are payouts guaranteed?
No. Payouts are partial, come only from trading fees, and are never guaranteed. A coin with little trading will have small payouts or none.
Do I need to connect my wallet?
No. Payouts are sent to the wallets that hold the coin. To see yours, paste your address on the Check my pad page.
Why didn't I get anything this round?
You might hold less than 10,000 tokens, you may not be in loss, or your share may be below 0.001 SOL and waiting in pending.
I sold part of my bag. What happens?
Nothing resets: your clock keeps running and your average entry stays the same. Only the tokens you still hold count toward your loss. Selling everything stops the clock.
Can I earn a profit from Landpad payouts?
No. Lifetime payouts on a coin are capped at 50% of your loss on it.
Does the dev get trading fees?
No. Every coin is created on Meteora with the Landpad config: the dev's share of trading fees is 0%, and only the Landpad payout wallet can collect the fees, for the coin's pad pool. These rules are fixed on-chain when the coin is created and nobody can change them for that coin.
What does Meteora keep?
20% of every trading fee goes to Meteora's protocol. Landpad keeps nothing: the rest goes to the coin's pad pool.
What happens at graduation?
When the curve holds 85 SOL, the coin moves to a Meteora pool. All of the pool's liquidity is locked for good and owned by the Landpad payout wallet, so its trading fees keep filling the pad pool.
Is Landpad part of Meteora?
No. Landpad is an independent site that launches coins through Meteora's public programs.
What is $LANDPAD?
The platform coin. It is launched on a Meteora launchpad; its fees are sent to its own wallet and paid to its holders in loss with the same rules as every coin here.
